Some thoughts about larg calf boots:
"Naturalizer Vander Boots - These ladies boots have been extremely comfortable from the moment I first put them on. I had trouble finding boots to fit around my calf and these fit perfectly. I check for these in stores for a month and they never had them in stock."
"VERY Plus! I have been buying wide-calf boots since JCrew (and others) started offering them a few years ago. I'm NOT skinny by any means, and I run a lot, so my calves are about 13 inches around. So when I needed a basic, knee-high, black boot, I went for the Plus style by Naturalizer boots. Definitely too plus! The calves are bigger than any wide calf boot I've ever tried. However, I ordered the regular one and it's fine. So, moral of the story: If you have really small calves, get the Naturalizer wide calf boots altogether! If you have normal-sized calves, just go for the regular Naturlizer shoes. It's really cute and comfortable!"
"Overall this boot is great! I have received many compliments. The only issues I have with this boot is the proportion from ankle to calf. I have large calves and small ankles, b/c of this the boot has a very slight scrunch look b/c it is not form fitting at the ankle. The calf fits good, I did not need the elastic. Also, it does NOT look bulky! I think the rich leather adds to this. The width of the Naturelizer shoe is true to size considering the toe box. Very comfortable. If you have a REALLY wide foot or want to wear sox, get the next width up. I wear a WW normally in naturlizer shoes and this shoe fit just fine in the WW. Great looking tall boot for STYLISH women with large calves!"
